Rachel and Matt’s Glorious beachside ceremony in Greece
The Skiathos Princess Hotel is a beauty, located right on the beach this place is absolute luxury. Pretty much all of Rachel and Matt’s wedding party stayed here which naturally meant they spent the days before and after the wedding together. Like a huge family and friends holiday. What’s not to like about that? Most people did make a holiday out of it too.
On the day of the wedding, shortly after breakfast, around noon, everyone was chilling around the pool or on the beach, enjoying a couple of beers and some cocktails. As you’ll see the weather was perfect - 30 degrees perfect. Not swealtering, but you can definitely feel the heat. It didn’t really kick off until after lunch though, Rachel went back to her room to start getting ready, Matt squeezed in another hour or so at the pool. The ceremony wasn’t until the evening, just before sunset, because although 30 degrees is perfect while you’re round the pool, it’s a bit much when you’re dressed in your finest gear.
The beach ceremony was beautiful, simultaneously translated into Greek, then after a good old confetti fight we had bartenders passing cocktails around quicker than you could finish them, an oustanding Greek banquet under the warm glow of festoon lights and speeches by the sea. As usual I love a good evening party and this one was as epic as they come - Ouzo, break dancing, a cardboard cat cutout, live music, and so much dance floor action. An amazing celebration! If you’ve never been to Skiathos, you should change that, it’s a beautiful island.
