Is Live Streaming Right For Me?

Is Live Streaming Right For Me?

Ok, so you’re thinking about having part of your wedding live streamed, whether that’s just the ceremony, the speeches, the first dance, or all of it. Let me show you what we offer so you can decide if it’s right for you.

We understand that it’s tricky at the moment, you wanna get married, we want you to get married, but you’re restricted on how many people you can have. I mean there’s always someone who can’t make it, for whatever reason – health, living in a different country, whatever, and that can be frustrating. But it’s especially frustrating at the moment because of the limits imposed on us for weddings. It’s a nightmare, BUT, if you’re going ahead anyway, and good for you if you do, you can still have people join you and watch your ceremony live as it happens. We know it’s not ideal, but they still enjoy the day with you, they can interact with you, so you can go ahead and be married, just maybe save the celebrations for next year.

So how does live streaming work?

Well firstly, we are completely mobile, we’re not restricted by cables and power sockets. 100% mobile. So it doesn’t matter if you’re getting married in a church, a temple, a garden, city hotel, a barn, an outdoor location, we can get there, and we can stream from there to unlimited viewers, all over the globe, we don’t restrict how many viewers you have.

So when you book, we’ll set you up a private webpage on the website, this link you can send out to your guests as this is where the live stream’s hosted. If you want to personalise that page more than we already do, maybe with some photos or a video message we can do that, but it’s not essential, it looks great as it is.

Then on the day, we arrive in advance and work out the best position to put the camera so your online guests get a good shot of the action but we don’t get in the way of your actual guests or photographer. The cameras are quite small as we don’t like to be intrusive and we’ll go live 10-15 minutes before the ceremony starts so the feed can populate and people can start getting excited.

Audio is important too so we’ll put a mic on one of you and the celebrant, and don’t worry because these are monitored throughout so they’re muted when you aren’t speaking, and if you’ve got hymns or similar we’ll use an ambient microphone that captures everyone as a room, because, well nobodys gonna want to hear you sing a solo…

Another amazing feature which people love is our chat integration, so your guests can leave you messages from wherever they are, you can reply, you can even ask the celebrant to share some messages in the ceremony.

After it’s all over and we’ve ended the broadcast it remains online and can be watched again immediately so if people want to watch it again or someone was late to the party they can still view it then the day after the wedding we’ll send you a copy of the video to keep forever along with the transcript of the chat as this always make for a fun read after the day.

We’re based in Nottingham but travel all over the UK. We’re in tune with local restrictions and have no issue wearing a mask and we sanitise equipment like microphones before they’re used - we have experience in all types of wedding, including Church, Hindu, Civil, Jewish, elopements, destination weddings and we love the idea of experiencing new cultures as well.

We keep our equipment charged and ready so if you need someone in the next 24 hours, we may be able help, if we aren’t already booked. Like we’ve said, we know it’s not your first choice, but it’s certainly as close as you can get at the moment.
